The half ballad 'Anthem' is extremely memorable, atmospheric and meant to be written in a simple and effective way, its lyrics convey the sense of uncertainty we are all experiencing nowadays. This first single is definitely one of the highlights of the album.

'Anguish Of Youth' is a well written and enjoyable song with its upbeat acoustic strums, it maintains the band's tradition of including ballads in their albums, 'End Of Innocence' as well shows this effort. 'Dark City' gives some variety to the work, outstanding and diversified, while 'Equilibrium' includes the best guitar solo on the record. And not to mention the best track of the album, 'Tragedy And Triumph', epic and unforgettable, it features a catchy chorus, melodic riffs, great verse/chorus transitions and an epic intro: anything we could like about Iced Earth!
